EDITOR'S NOTE
Migratory Flight

2020 has been an unprecedented year, to say the least, leaving its indelible marks on so many aspects of our professional and personal lives. As it draws to a close,  we wait for the vaccination programme with bated, cautiously filtered breaths, wondering if indeed, this is the beginning of the end.

As it is, the  pandemic has given us much material to work with for the newsletter's content. Our editorial team has enjoyed putting the various issues together, giving them unique and different looks, while reporting on the varied experiences of the ACP as we journeyed through the pandemic together.

To look back on the previous issues, we have included an archival sections.

For our end-of-year issue,  we are excited to move our newsletter fully online. This is a small but significant step in our migration onto a fully digital platform. We have always planned for the newsletter to be the gateway to our digital engagement platform. We believe that by encouraging more contributors to share their stories, improving their accessibility, we will be able to create a vibrant and engaged online community.

This version is mobile-friendly,  as most people (and anaesthetists!)  access their online experiences through their mobile devices. It also gives us the other advantages of online publishing: ease of real-time collaborative editing, engagement statistics etc.

Also new this issue is our CULTURE section, where we explore and celebrate the rich talents of our fraternity. We are excited to present a poem by David Mathew, SR from NHG, a published and award-winning poet, and speak with him about his creative process.

Lastly, we want to thank everyone who has contributed to our newsletter. We hope you will find it a compelling read. Until the next issue, from all of us at the Editorial Team, have a safe, peaceful and joyous Xmas and Happy New Year!
