Our first virtual event- ANAES ACP mid-autumn festivity

For the first time since the Covid pandemic, the SPRINT pillar of the ACP led by Dr Josephine Tan, A/Prof Chan Yew Weng and Dr June Goh were able to host an engagement event – the ANAES ACP mid-autumn festivity. This event was held on Saturday, 26 September over the Zoom platform, to celebrate the mid-autumn festivity with alumni, supporters and staff. It was also an opportunity for the ACP leadership to share the ACP’s updates and achievement with our donors and friends.

We were privileged to have Professor Kenneth Kwek, CEO, Singapore General Hospital as our guest of honor that evening. In his opening speech, Prof Kwek thanked the alumni and staff who have journeyed and supported the ACP’s philanthropic efforts. He also emphasized the need for staff involvement and benefits of philanthropy funds in our academic medicine journey.

The other interesting highlights of the evening include a shadow puppet performance by Dr Jo Tan and Dr Jacqueline from KKH Paeds Anaesthesia, a specially arranged gu-zheng performance by Dr Zhang Qianpian and a silent auction segment for a pair of crochet bunnies handmade by Dr Irene Wong. The cute bunnies fared phenomenally well and went for over $500 each. The charming and effervescent MCs, Lucy and Jacqueline, as well as the delectable mooncakes and tea, kept the event light hearted and festive.
